The 2017 edition of the John “Shoes” Moshoeu  Cup proved to be extremely exciting, challenging and all around fun for all those who participated and a great spectacle for spectators to see such young talent on display.

The group stage’s were hard fought events with there being two groups of five teams, with only the top two teams of each group going through to the semi-final stage.

Grade 10 PROGRAMMING GURUS  to go to the second round of the IT Programming Olympiad. If they proceed they will compete in the finals at UCT. Good luck to these boys, we know you will do us proud. Keep up the excellent work!

 

WRO ROBOTICS OLYMPIAD

WRO ROBOTICS OLYMPIAD

Grade 9  TEAM competed in the Junior Provincial Robot Olympiad and placed first overall. They have now been selected to participate in the National Robot Olympiad which will be held in Pretoria on the 9th of September. If they qualify, they will go to Costa Rico to represent South Africa! We wish you all the best!

Mooh, Mooh , Mooh!! Said the Cows! Yes it was an exciting trip to the Diary Farm!

The Grade R and RRs had so much fun learning all about The Diary products, what they are and where they come from. We saw cows and their udders and big white puddles! Milk everywhere!

PLAYnLEARN ZEBRA’S

The little Zebra’s in grade R enjoy exploring  the free play area’s in their class. There is something to attract and amuse each little personality, whether it be reading a story or writing on the chalk board, building and constructing in the block area or playing make believe in the fantasy corner. Each area allows the little ones to learn and explore through play. It is definitely one of the most enjoyed activities in class!

This past Saturday our Junior Choir had the opportunity to perform at the Women’s Month Commemoration Opera Gala at UNISA’s ZK Matthews Great Hall.

The evening was filled with tremendous excitement amongst the learners as they got to be backstage and perform with the Gauteng Symphony Orchestra.

The Northern Gauteng Science Senior Expo was held on 18 and 19 August 2017 at the University of Pretoria. We are proud to announce that we had our first two learners from our Intermediate Phase, Sashimka Doorsamy (Grade 7A) and Devaan Naicker (Grade 7A) participate in this event.

The grade 2 learners had a hands on experience on Friday 18 August when they made a vehicle by using food items. Last week the theme for life skills was transport and we were learning about the different types of vehicles.
